Brighton vs. Manchester United Match Preview & Betting Tips

With only three rounds left in the Premier League this season, it seems that both Brighton and Man United have done their job. Brighton are 99% sure to avoid relegation, while Manchester United will finish the season as the Premier League runner-ups. Of course, this doesn’t mean that the game played on Friday at the AMEX Stadium in East Sussex won’t be entertaining. Brighton

This is the first-ever Premier League season for Brighton and Hove Albion and it seems that they’ve already achieved their goal of staying in the English top flight for another year. They currently have five points more than Southampton and with only three rounds left until the end of the season, they’re likely to stay in the league.

It’s not only because of the point advantage over the teams in the relegation zone but also because many other teams have a similar number of points as them. What this means is that if Brighton play well in the remaining three matches and earn some points, they might end up much higher on the table. In fact, they may even finish the season in the top half of the table.

Of course, something like that seems like a science fiction, considering Brighton’s schedule. After the match with Manchester United at home, they travel to the north of England to play against the title winners, Manchester City. And in the final round of the Premier League, Brighton play an away match against Liverpool.

Manchester United

Winning the second place in the Premier League is definitely a big success, but it seems that the Red Devils’ fans feel slightly disappointed. It’s not because of their table position, but because of their team’s unconvincing performances. A team with such big-name players like Paul Pogba, Alexis Sanchez, Romelu Lukaku and the others, is expected to play much, much better.

They did win their previous three matches, but not too convincingly. Let’s take the last weekend’s game against Arsenal as an example. The Red Devils played in front of their own crowd at the Old Trafford against the Gunners who had a number of B-side players in the squad. And the score was 1:1 until the stoppage time when Fellaini scored the winner.

Everyone wants to see more from this team and Mourinho’s boys now have a good opportunity to show their quality against Brighton who are a much, much weaker team than them. The Red Devils beat them two times this season, once in the Premier League and once in the FA Cup. But, those wins were far from convincing. One match ended 1:0 and the other 2:0, which is fairly disappointing, considering that both of those games took place at the Old Trafford.

Brighton vs. Manchester United Match Prediction

Manchester United will probably win this one, but I doubt the win is going to be a big one. In fact, I’m pretty sure that the Red Devils are going to struggle to find the net against the well-organized Brighton.
