Leicester City still “dreaming” of Premier League title

After huge victory over Swansea 4:0 on Sunday, Leicester City are one step closer to make the biggest surprise and win the title in Premier League.

Last season Leicester City finish the season with only six points more than the first team in the relegation zone and their main for this season is to avoid relegation and play in Premier League next season. They have started this season very well and were unebaten in the first six round, but in the next game Arsenal smashed them 2:5 and everyone predicted that they will go down.

The team with one of the smallest budgets in Premier League didn’t have enough quality players and long bench to finish the season in the Top 10, but they showed everyone that they have a big heart and prove that you don’t have to be rich in order to make amazing results.

Against Swansea they played without suspended Jamie Vardy, so everyone expecting Mahrez to be pushed further forward and lead Leicester’s attack and he did the great job and hit the net for 1:0. Leonardo Ulloa scored the second and the third, while in the 85 minute Albrighton hit the net for the final 4:0.

Meanwhile, Riyad Mahrez named PFA Player of the Year and become the first African footballer to win the Professional Footballers Association player of the year award.

“The secret has been team spirit. We work so hard for each other. We are like brothers, it’s everywhere on the pitch. That’s our strength.” – said Mahrez.

There are only three rounds left until the end of the season and Leicester need 5 points in order that their dream will come true and make one of the biggest surprises in the history of football. In the next round Foxes travel to Old Trafford where they will try to make another good result against Manchester United and make another step forward to the title.

Tottenham Hotspur have eight points less than Leicester City, but the team from London have one match less, so if Spurs beat West Brom tonight the difference between two teams will be only 5 points. If Mauricio Pochettino’s men fail to take three points, Leicester could win the title in the next round if they beat Manchester United.

Leicester City have a dream so far, now they want to make the dream a reality.
