The semifinals of the Champions League are finally here. The first match we’re gonna see is the one between Liverpool and AS Roma, which will take place this Tuesday at the Anfield. I have no doubt it’s gonna be an entertaining one, but if you want to spice things up a little bit, you got to place some bets on this game. Hopefully, this Liverpool vs. AS Roma match preview will help you make the right betting choice!
Mohamed Salah is the man who’s gonna be in the spotlight in this match. It’s not only because he’s been crowned the best Premier League player of the season 2017/2018 by the Professional Footballers’ Association. It’s also because he’s playing against his former club on Tuesday evening!
Mo Salah has scored in each of the previous six games for Liverpool and is the second-biggest favorite for winning the Champions League Golden Boot, after Cristiano Ronaldo. But, Liverpool are much more than just Salah. This team has plenty of super-talented players who have been playing at a very high level lately. Firmino, Henderson, Milner, are just some who deserve praise.
With such amazing players in their team, Liverpool have the right to be optimistic about their chances of reaching the final. The problem is that they also have to work hard in the Premier League in order to stay at their current position (or go even higher).
That’s why I think that they will want to get the Champions League job done in the first part of the doubleheader. A big win against Roma at the Anfield would mean that they could focus on the Premier League clash with Chelsea.
Losing at the Anfield doesn’t have to mean anything to Roma. After all, this team has managed to come back from the 4:1 defeat to Barcelona. Still, this doesn’t mean that they’re traveling to the North of England waving a white flag. On the contrary, I’m sure that they’ll try to win that game.
Roma have been playing very well lately, winning three out of four previous matches, counting all competitions. Their defense has been particularly impressive in those games. They’ve managed to keep a clean sheet against Barcelona and Lazio, two teams famous for their attacking prowess.
What might be a problem for Roma is that they’re competing for one of the top 4 spots in the Serie A. There are only four rounds left and Inter have only one point fewer. What this means is that dropping down to the 5th position is a serious concern. Of course, this doesn’t mean that they will forget about the Champions League. On the contrary, I think they will put all they got into winning the doubleheader.

Liverpool vs. AS Roma Match Prediction
Liverpool are the big favorite here for a reason. I think they have a better team than Roma, while playing at their ground is going to give their players the boost of confidence they need. The fact that they scored 11 times in their previous three matches at the Anfield without allowing a single goal makes me think they’re gonna thrash Roma on Tuesday evening.
