With only 1 point less than Real Madrid, Valencia has a good chance to overtake the third spot in La Liga. Of course, 11 rounds are left till the end of the season, so they’ll have to work hard to make that dream a reality. Unfortunately for them, it’s not going to be easy, especially knowing how tough opponents Valencia are to face in the near future. First of all, they’ll face Sevilla.
The match Sevilla vs. Valencia will take place this Saturday afternoon at the Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán, where Sevilla have been tremendous this season. There’s no doubt that both sides will be fired up in this match, hoping to grab all three points, which is something that promises a great entertainment for the fans. But, if you wish to make the game more exciting by placing a bet, make sure to check out this match preview, as well as betting tips at the bottom!
Sevilla vs Valencia Match Preview
Sevilla
After the match with Valencia, Sevilla travel to England to play the second part of the Champions League doubleheader with Manchester United. The team from the South of Spain simply dominated the duel with the Red Devils, but failed to cash in on their chances. What this means is that a much tougher job awaits for them in Manchester. Because of that, they might not be entirely focused on La Liga game with Valencia.
Right after the Champion s League game with Man United, Sevilla got thrashed by Atletico Madrid in La Liga. But, after the 5:2 defeat, they quickly got back on their feet with two straight wins – against Malaga and Athletic Bilbao. They’re now in a pretty good form, but it wouldn’t be a surprise if their manager decided to rest a couple of players in order to keep them fresh and healthy for the Tuesday’s clash with Manchester.
This team has a great history against Valencia, especially when playing at home. In fact, Sevilla has lost only 3 times to Valencia at Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán in this century, winning 13 times and playing draw on 5 occasions.
Valencia
Although flying pretty high at the moment, Valencia haven’t been impressive when it comes to away matches. To be fair, all the teams in La Liga prefer playing at home, so it’s not a surprise that Valencia have won only 6 out of 13 away matches. Of course, this doesn’t have to mean much as they’re doing their best to change that. In their previous match away from home, Valencia played 1:1 with Athletic Bilbao.
Even if they fail to beat Sevilla on weekend, Valencia still have a great chance to end up on a spot that leads to the Champions League next season. Leaving Real Madrid behind them is also a likely scenario, especially because Valencia have a fairly easy schedule ahead. Apart from the duel with Barça in April, they don’t have many other difficult challenges until the end of the season.

Sevilla vs. Valencia Match Prediction
There’s no doubt this is going to be an entertaining match as both sides have been playing beautiful football recently. Still, I feel like Sevilla’s minds are gonna be set on the next week’s duel with Manchester United, something which Valencia might be able to take advantage of. But, if you don’t feel too adventurous to bet on Valencia, you can always put your money on goals. I’m pretty certain we’ll see a couple of them.
