Sweden’s 2-0 friendly win over Estonia on Thursday saw Zlatan Ibrahimovic notch both of the match’s goals to surpass Sven Rydell as Sweden’s all-time leading scorer.
And, of course, because it’s Ibrahimovic, and everything he does is done in jaw-dropping style, his record 50th goal for Sweden was scored in classic Zlatan fashion.
Upon receiving a well-placed pass from Sebastian Larsson inside the six-yard box, Ibrahimovic – as he’s been known to do – positioned himself perfectly and popped the ball into the back of the net with a cheeky back-heel that Estonian ‘keeper Sergei Pareiko could do nothing about.
The celebration was just as Zlatan as the goal, as Ibrahimovic unveiled a shirt that read, “50 Goals, You Made It All Possible” upon breaking the record.
