When it comes to who’s gonna win Ligue 1 title this season, PSG have pretty much sealed the deal. But, the battle for the 2nd spot is pretty exciting. Right now, Monaco has only 2 points more than Olympique Marseille, meaning that in order to stay in that position, they need to keep on winning. But, that’s not going to be easy, as they have a pretty tough schedule ahead. Their first challenge comes this Friday when Bordeaux come to town.
Monaco vs. Bordeaux match is the most interesting duel of the round 28, at least for the bettors. If you wanna make some money on weekend, it is smart to take a closer look at this match prediction and betting tip.
Monaco
Monaco have been playing great since the start of 2018. In fact, if it weren’t for the draw with Toulouse in the previous round, they would have a streak of 5 straight wins in all competitions. The 3:3 draw with Toulouse came as a big disappointment for Monaco players and their fans alike, considering that the score was 3:1 Monaco up until 78th minute. Nine minutes later, they lost the advantage when Sanogo scored for Toulouse.
Such things can’t happen to Monaco anymore if they want to stay in the second place on Ligue 1 table. Hopefully, they’ve learned their lesson, as plenty tough matches are on the way, starting with the one against Bordeaux on Friday.
One thing that gives Monaco a lot of confidence ahead of this game is the fact that they’ll be playing in front of their fans. With 18.5k capacity, Stade Louis II is not quite the largest stadium in the league, but Monaco players seem to love playing there. Their home stats prove it – Monaco have won 11 out of possible 14 games at their turf, which is second only to PSG.
The biggest handicap is that Monaco will probably have to take on Bordeaux without their top scorer, Radamel Falcao. He’s struggling with an injury, so the chances are that he’ll sit out this match. Of course, if needed, Falcao might get on the pitch as a substitute.
Bordeaux
Right now, Bordeaux are on the 8th spot on the table, but with a little bit of luck, they can get much higher pretty soon. Actually, this team is confident of finishing the season at least on the 6th position, the same as they did in 2016/2017.
Bordeaux have been playing pretty well so far in 2018, especially when compared to their form in December. Bordeaux fans want to forget the last few weeks of 2017, when their team lost 6 games in a row, 4 of which were Ligue 1 matches.
The good news is that those days are behind them. Bordeaux players are now playing with confidence and are in a fairly decent form. In February, this team won twice, lost once, and played one draw. But, is such form enough to get anything from the clash with Monaco?

Monaco vs. Bordeaux Match Prediction
I honestly don’t think Bordeaux have the quality to upset Monaco, especially at Stade Louis II. I expect a dominant win for Monaco, with at least two or three goals in the opponent’s net.
